Meet Jayne – Founder of Hobbs Home Interiors

Designing real homes for real life.

I’m Jayne Hobbs, an interior designer based in Devon and the founder of Hobbs Home Interiors. For me, design has always been second nature — I grew up around it. My dad was a builder and my mum styled the homes he renovated. From a young age, I watched how a house could be transformed. Not just by the walls that went up, but by the thoughtful layers that made it feel like home.

That early influence sparked a love of interiors and creativity that’s shaped my career ever since.

From Flowers to Floor Plans

At 21, I launched a wedding flower styling business, turning blank venues into beautiful, personalised spaces. I ran it successfully for 7 years before selling the business to focus on raising my children. Since 2014, I’ve worked alongside my husband in our family’s building company — helping clients bring their vision to life. Guiding layout decisions, and managing the finishing touches that make all the difference.

It became clear that while people were excited about building or renovating, they often felt overwhelmed when it came to pulling the final look together—colours, layouts, furniture, lighting. That’s why I created Hobbs Home Interiors. I retrained in interior design to bridge that gap, combining practical building knowledge with creative styling to help clients feel confident in their home choices.
